As I promised, here is the revised version of this DD Track Burn. FRS, S2000 or RX8?

Easy one.
DD: FRS
Track: S2000
Burn: RX-8

DD: FR-S
Track: RX-8(that is where a rotary is best at)
Burn: S2000, hard one this one was.

Ditto

That'd be it.

Out of curiousity (I've never driven any of the three!) what makes the RX-8 come out over the S2000? I mean, I really want it to be good at stuff because I like them Mazdas.

DD RX8, because I'm not all too fond of the interior on the FRS, and I feel I could probably make a pretty mean track car out of it.
Track FRS, reason above
Burn S2000, sorry love

Well nothing really. They all are great handling cars, I just like the unique engine of the rotary. Also rotaries like to be revved for longer periods of time over a conventional piston engine, so for a race car they are great, same goes for a track car. Also 4 rotor swap.

DD: FR-S
Track: RX-8
Burn: S2000. This was, at first, a difficult decision. And then I remembered the last time I sat in an S2000, my head was about an inch above the top of the windshield.

Gotcha. I like that unique engine as well, I guess if you modified them both for the track they would be pretty similar?

Probably I have heard that the honda likes to randomly oversteer, but otherwise both can be made into track day weapons.

I'd have a hard time believing that any car can "randomly" oversteer. But again, never driven any of them nor have I driven on a track. Sadly. :(

Well it is more snap oversteer rather than random, like it isn't very progressive.

DD: S2000 - The only convertible, so no question. Also seems like the most fun engine to live with every day.
Track: FR-S - It'll teach good fundamentals.
Burn: RX-8 - I don't like the looks very much so it goes no matter what.

Is that a weight balance issue? Suspension? Now I want to drive one.

I honestly don't know, I just know AP1 oversteered. The later and revised models didn't but they also didn't rev to 9K.

Aw, that's no fun.

DD: the RX8, since it is a sedan, technically (or 4 door coupe, your choice) so PRACTICAL!
Track (do twisty roads count?): the S2K, since 9,000 revolutions per minute is Honda's way of saying "yeah, we made the civic and accord, This time WE TRIED!"
Burn: BRZ (or is it an FRS? can't see) I liked them, until my stepdad test drove one. Yeah, the dorifto on the freeway off ramp was cool and all, but it's just not... good enough.

DD FR-S
Track RX-8
Burn S2K.

That sounds a lot more like the snap understeering issue present on the early NSX.

Completely agree.

DD: S2000 (especially if it's AP1, because 8900 Redline)
Track: RX-8 (You're only as cool as your apex seals, though).
Burn: FR-S, because Scion. I can't get behind anything that legitimizes this:

DD: S2000, because convertible
Track: RX-8
Burn: FR-S, because it's not the other two and you didn't give me a choice...
:)

This. Also the RX8 is a more useful car than the FRS, even if the fuel economy is terrible.
